He designs and directs the construction of the first bridge French steel (Bessemer process) installed "Champs de Mars" in Paris for the Universal Exhibition of 1867.
This bridge was dismantled and raised in 1868 on "La Vilaine" river in Port de Roche near Langon (Ille et Vilaine).
The letters "N" and "E" on each of the bridge pier recall the seal Imperial of Napoleon III and Eugenie.
This bridge is still considered as one of the most beautiful works who spans the Vilaine River.
