Saint-Germain Church renovation
Originally the bell tower was to be covered with zinc (see postcard) then slates.
Since its cover in 1943 with slates, only little work have been execute, its renovation became indispensable, was carried out in 2013.
On November 6, 2013 the new frame weighing 5 tonnes was hoisted.
It is interesting to note that the old frame was made to save money and wood by assembling boards to make stronger sections.
The bell tower is called "imperial" because its dome has 8 sides with curved edges and counter-curves in the shape of "S" reminiscent of that of the closed crowns of the emperors.

A total envelope of 840,000 €uros had been estimated necessary in 2013 to carry out
this work, including 260,000 €uros for the bell tower.
