Emile Cheysson is the director of the
Creusot's Steel-works from 1871 to 1875.
From
1836 to 1966 the Schneider Company is a limited partnership with share
capitals. The capital is brought by shareholders as sleeping partners.
They do not take part in the management. The manager, with his
patrimony as guaranty, has the power to act. Under these circumstances,
the director is only a second man. |
