Emile Cheysson as owner of the "Domaine à Chiroubles"
The “Domaine Cheysson” which spreads over 26 ha, was a Cluny monks property until 1789.
In 1874 Emile Cheysson has to fight against  the phylloxera. He uses first the carbon disulphide as an insecticide, then he acknowledges the effectiveness of grafting as advised by Victor Pulliat.
