" Voyage en Orient "

From January 1915 to August 1917, a young medical student, 22 years, incorporated in a health unit, took 500 photos with a Vest Pocket Kodak. The site presents 250 with a classification per theme. A notebook lists the city, the subject and the date of each shoot.

About "l'INDIANA" and "LA LORRAINE"

"Indiana" was an Italian liner used to transport troops - 160m long, 26m wide, 2 masts and 2 funnels.
"La Lorraine", a liner launched in 1899, and operated on the Le Havre-New-York line. Converted in August 1914 into a auxiliary cruiser, named Lorraine II, it was used as a troop transport. In February 1919 he resumed his service liner and was demolished in 1922.
